💡 What is The Bridge Program looking for?

We won't provide you with a checklist to tick off, as there isn't one in particular. There's no standardized methodology to pick a TBP fellow, no ideal applications to pursue. Our suggestion is to concentrate on yourself and ensure that your application authentically reflects who you are. We appreciate honesty, your view of the world, and we care for what you care for.

That being said, we do look at some general evaluation criteria: not only what you think but how you think; what you have led in the past is nice to have but how you will lead in the future is what we are looking for; and how you see the world. The way you express those qualities should be authentically your own.

That being said, we do look at some general evaluation criteria: not only what you think but how you think; what you have led in the past is nice to have but how you will lead in the future is what we are looking for; and how you see the world. The way you express those qualities should be authentically your own.

Stage I

In this stage, you need to fill up our application form and provide the basic academic and career details for yourself.

Next, you need to write 3 short application essays and 1 long application essay. The essays might look simple, but you need to take time to reflect and submit your application. The Bridge Program is highly selective with less than 5% selection rate. We urge you to think deeply, be yourself and take time to reflect on your essays with confidence. This entire process shall take 4-6 hours to complete.

Through each essay, we are looking for characteristics of candidates that show us your past work, values, ethics and a strong sense of purpose and dedication to your life’s mission. With each essay, we suggest you look deeply into your past work and communicate with us what drove your experiences and how you have evolved from the challenges faced through the experiences.

Stage II

If you have qualified for this stage, it means that your application has stood out amongst others. We want to know more about you and get a deeper understanding about your passions, energy, motivation and personality.

This is a video submission stage. There are 3 questions in this stage as well and there will be a time limit for each question. Details about this round will be emailed to individual candidates who qualify for Stage II.

We are looking for your authentic self and for you to speak about your past experiences and future ambitions.

Stage III

Stage III means you are in the last leg of our admissions round. During your interview, trained member(s) of our global alumni community or member(s) of the admissions team will ask you questions that enable us to evaluate your candidacy. You will also have the opportunity to ask questions during your interview.

The interview complements your written application with essential insights for our evaluation process. We require all candidates to interview before receiving an offer of admission. While being invited to an interview is a positive sign, it does not guarantee your admission. We generally interview two to three candidates per available seat in the class. Interviews are by invitation only. Our admissions process is rolling and interview slots are circulated on a rolling basis.

We conduct a structured behavioral interview to gain a deeper understanding of what you have done and how you have done it. We focus both on your past actions and on hypothetical situations, and invite you to discuss meaningful professional or community-based experiences you’ve had in the past few years and that you want to do in the years to come.
